The S.C. Sea Grant Consortium’s Coastal Science Research Symposium will take place June 9-11, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina. The symposium will convene researchers, resource managers, and community partners from across the state to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and address emerging challenges in coastal science and management. In addition to highlighting ongoing and future funding opportunities, the Consortium will use the symposium to gather input from participants to help inform the agency’s future strategic direction.
Presentations will feature recent Consortium-supported research as well as related work across a range of topical areas, including coastal resilience, water quality, coastal stormwater management, marine debris, coastal fisheries and aquaculture, science literacy, and sustainable coastal development. Additional details regarding registration, abstract submission, and accommodations will be available on the symposium website in early 2026.
