About the Conference

This conference is hosted by NOAA’s National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) and the South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium, and will be highlighting professional and student work, as well as community science activities, related to microplastics and nanoplastics research and mitigation efforts.

Our goal is to coordinate efforts to understand impacts to biota, facilitate potential collaborations, and to identify priority research for the future.

The conference will feature topic-focused discussions on funding and management, as well as sessions focused on gaps and priorities.
