About Ke’Ziyah Williamson

As the Coastal Watershed Community Engagement specialist, Ke’Ziyah Williamson identifies communities that need a real-time localized understanding of flooding, continuing the work she accomplished on the Pee Dee Water Level Sensor project as a Community Engaged Intern during the summer of 2022. She also will be conducting interviews and focus groups with community members in rural counties to discuss their experiences with and perceptions about buyout programs.

Ke’Ziyah graduated from Francis Marion University (FMU) in May 2022 with a B.S. in biology and additional coursework in chemistry and political science. Before joining the Consortium, she worked as a lab assistant at FMU and, during her final year as an undergraduate, was an intern for Majority Whip James E. Clyburn of the U.S. House of Representatives.
