About Hailey Connell
Hailey assists with the Emerging Contaminants of Concern (CEC) program, which is led by Brooke Saari, Coastal Environmental Quality specialist. Hailey is conducting a gap analysis and literature reviews to assess CEC effects on human- and ecosystem-health risks in relationship to climate change.
Hailey earned her B.S. in environmental geology with a focus on geochemistry from the College of Charleston (CofC). She is currently earning an M.S. in environmental and sustainability studies at CofC, researching CECs and water quality in the Southeast. In addition, she teaches environmental geology at CofC. Prior to joining the Consortium, Hailey conducted water quality research in Seattle, Washington.
