New Internship Program Promotes Diversity in Aquaculture Industry
The Consortium has partnered with the nonprofit Minorities in Aquaculture, providing three paid summer internships to women of color who are interested in learning the fundamentals of shellfish aquaculture.

“Project Sentinel” Stations to Capture Landfalling Hurricane Data
Hurricane monitoring towers capture video feeds and data, such as wind speed, water depth, wave height and direction, storm surge, erosion, and hazardous water-quality conditions.

Groundwater and Infrastructure in Beaufort County Focus of $300K Grant
A team of researcher will analyze how sea-level rise impacts groundwater, infrastructure, and social-system capacity, such as municipal services, in order to help community leaders make informed decisions about risks and strategies.
