July 25-30, 2005 Penn Center, St. Helena Island SC and Sapelo Island, GA	Coastal Legacy	This is a professional development workshop for elementary school and middle school teachers, coordinated by Elizabeth Rogers and facilitated by Blondelle Toliver. During this workshop, you will connect coastal science with coastal culture based on the African American influence and the rice industry.
June 18-25, 2005 USC Baruch Marine Institute Georgetown SC	2005 Ocean Sciences Education Leadership Institute	This is a professional development workshop for middle school and high school science teachers coordinate by Margaret Olsen. During this Institute you will work with scientists and educators to explore the research on estuarine and coastal waters.	Full description of the program and the application form.
May–June 2005 SSU and Sapelo Island Savannah GA	SSU Natural History and Interpretative Training	Carol Pride SSU and Margaret Olsen COSEE SE /MECA coordinate an undergraduate seminar on interpretative methods and follow up with a day camp on Sapelo Island, GA.
May 2005 UNC-CH Chapel Hill, NC	SEACOOS and The Maury Project	Terri Kirby Hathaway NCSG, David Smith from Naval Academy and ??, working with SEACOOS researchers and teachers, will be exploring how to extend specific Project Maury lessons to include real and near real time data.
