August 2006 – Coastal Heritage
Coastal Heritage won a 2006 Award of Excellence in the Other Magazines category in the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III competition as well as a 2006 Grand Award in Low Budget Publication.

June 2006 – Coastal Heritage
Coastal Heritage won an APEX Award of Excellence in the Magazines and Journals category.

May 2006 – Coastal Heritage
The National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) announced that Coastal Heritage won second place in the Local Magazine category.

March 2006 – Coastal Heritage
The Society for Technical Communication (STC) Carolina chapter awarded Coastal Heritage a Distinguished Award in the Technical Publication Competition. Coastal Heritage went on to win an Award of Excellence in the international competition. STC is the largest professional society in the world dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of technical communications. Entries were drawn from chapters and regional competitions in the United States, Canada, 13 European nations, Australia, and Israel.
